The Strathewen Public Hall

Originally opened in 1902 the Strathewen Hall served as a local hub for religious and social activity until it was destroyed in the Black Saturday Bushfire of 2009. It was rebuilt and re-opened in 2012.

The Strathewen Public Hall is one of the very few halls in Victoria that is still owned and managed by the local community. The Committee of the Strathewen Public Hall Association are conscious of the need to foster this sense of community ownership by rebuilding the membership of the Hall Association. You can become a member and support our beautiful local Hall by visiting their website and completing a membership form.
